What is the Makery franchise?

An already successful and proven upside-down restaurant concept, which gained a 5.0 consumer satisfaction rating – here guests prepare their own meal and happily pay for it, because they don’t just get food, but a creative community experience in an innovative environment. How our franchise unit works?

Like every ordinary restaurant, Makery also has a menu what you get after your arrival. But ours is a tablet-based interactive menu tied together with our cooking app, which guides you through the cooking process step by step.

Guests can choose from 30 different dishes, including international, healthy and vegan dishes. We provide all the ingredients cleaned, chopped and measured, in small bowls on a table with built-in ovens and induction plates. Any of our dishes can be prepared in 20-25 minutes, regardless of cooking knowledge.

Of course the Makery staff helps during the cooking process and does all the dishwashing and cleanup at the end. The package we offer to our future franchise partners consists of: the unique concept, the know-how, the best practises, the state-of-the-art IT-system and the secret ingredient. Just as the guests can prepare their own meals from the given ingredients, our franchise partners can also launch their own Makery with the provided business ingredients.

Daniel has over 15 years of experience in sales, new business development, marketing and key account management. Early in his career he has joined the local IMC of Apple, where he was in sales and marketing positions. He is a co-founder of a SaaS startup where he closed deals with 100+ international Fortune2000 clients. Daniel is a co-founder of Makery and his responsibility to be the first contact point for our franchise partners

He is an economist and an economics teacher with deep knowledge in social psychology, lean startup, and design thinking.

Makery’s philosophy

We are all creative social beings who love to be with each other, to create things and to play. Makery opens a world, where people step out from their everyday life consumer roles and become their own guests and chefs.

No one seen it coming. In 2015, when the idea popped up in our founder’s brain, we didn’t know it will grow that big and will totally turn the concept of restaurants upside down.
After one year of hard work, the first DIY restaurant of the world opened in Budapest in 2016, then our restaurant expert team turned it into a perfectly working experience based restaurant.
Directly in the first year, Makery was cash flow positive and earned a 5.0 star rating by Facebook reviews which is a great proof for the working method Makery created. The revenue figures, the visitor reviews encouraged us to establish the international Makery Team.
Last year we started the sales of Franchise and Software Licenses for selected premium Franchisee partners. In the coming months we’ll open new Makerys in Vienna and Bratislava and already have signed contracts in other European cities.
Currently we’re expecting early bird franchisees to join us and build together additional successful Makery DIY restaurants.
